Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Blip ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. The Service

Blip is a voice note capture and transcription app for Apple Watch and iPhone. We offer a free tier (on-device only) and a paid Pro tier (cloud sync, Whisper transcription, webhooks).

3. Accounts

Free tier does not require an account. Pro tier requires authentication via your Apple ID (through App Store subscription) and our platform's tenant system. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Pro is billed monthly via Apple's App Store at the price displayed at purchase time.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation stops future billing. Your data remains accessible for 90 days after cancellation.
Refunds are handled by Apple per their App Store refund policy.

5. Your Content

You own your voice notes, transcripts, and all content you create with Blip. We claim no ownership or license over your content beyond what's necessary to operate the service (storing, transmitting, transcribing as directed by you).

6. Acceptable Use

Don't use Blip to:

Record others without their consent where required by law.
Store or transmit illegal content.
Abuse the API or webhook system (rate limits apply).
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App.

7. Webhooks

Pro users can configure webhooks to send note data to external URLs. You are solely responsible for the security and compliance of your webhook endpoints. We sign payloads with HMAC-SHA256 but cannot guarantee the security of your destination.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Free-tier functionality (on-device recording and transcription) works offline and is unaffected by service availability.

9. Limitation of Liability

Blip is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost data, lost profits, or business interruption.

10. Transcription Accuracy

Both Apple Speech and OpenAI Whisper are automated systems. Transcripts may contain errors. Do not rely on transcriptions for legal, medical, or safety-critical purposes without human verification.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination, your Pro-tier cloud data is retained for 90 days then permanently deleted.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified via the app or email.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Brasilia, DF, Brazil.
